Destination wedding at 1743 Palácio Fonte Nova, just outside Sintra. One of the most stunning venues we’ve ever shot, here’s how it went.
So this one was special. Paul and Allyson got married at 1743 Palácio Fonte Nova, just minutes from Sintra. The venue alone does half the work when it comes to setting the mood, but their day was so much more than just a pretty backdrop.
We covered both photo and film for these two, and it was one of those weddings where everything just clicked. This couple was young, energetic, and genuinely up for anything. We pitched them a few slightly out-there ideas, and instead of hesitating, they just went for it. One of our favorites: a night session with Allyson in her second dress, right in the bathtub. It sounds random on paper, but the shots turned out incredible.
Vera Vale planned the whole thing and clearly knows what she’s doing, every detail was thought through, from the stationery (done by alma.atelierdesign, gorgeous work) to the flowers by Florista Sonhos & Lembranças, which tied the whole aesthetic together perfectly. Allyson’s makeup, done team ana.santos, was flawless too, held up all day (and night) without a single touch-up in sight.
We’re not going to gush too much here (there are a lot of photos and a short film to watch), but we will say, days like this remind us why we love doing this job. Good energy, a beautiful space, and two people who were down for whatever we threw at them.
